When you’re a parent, there’s so many moments that catch you off guard–From the first time your baby smilies at you, to the time they to step out into the world on their own. You find yourself watching them with a mix of pride and sadness, realizing that the little hand that once reached for you is about to be holding their high school diploma and starting a new chapter of their lives. But that’s what we’re working towards right? A chance to sit back and watch our kids as they make this life their own. The Rizzo family is living in that kind of season.

When Kara first reached out, it was actually the same day my baby was born — which still makes me smile every time I think about it. She was so kind and understanding, and when they were willing to wait until I was fully healed and back behind the camera, I was beyond grateful. I was even more excited when I saw her name pop up, realizing she’s related to a family I photographed before — another wonderful Rizzo crew I adored working with for Sydney and Julia’s Senior Portraits! It felt like such a gift to photograph yet another branch of this sweet family!
