He looked out at the field with almost as much amazement as he had looked at her with. A beautiful Oak tree stood tall, against all odds, as if it was made to be there. The beauty of it consumed them. The history of it made them wonder about their future. The wedding they’ll share, the home, the dogs, the life that’s just waiting for them. He looked at her with a smile because he knew that his arms were made to hold her just like this oak tree was made to represent their marriage to come—strong, beautiful, and forever growing.
The amount of times I said “This is so epic!!” on this session should be a crime, but with these views and when capturing a love as joyful as Jenna & Alex’s, I just couldn’t help myself. We drove the gator from location to location around the family farm with Buddy (and his muddy paws) in the back feeling the wind in his fur. I could almost say for certain that this is how Jenna & Alex fell in love. It’s how they shared family stories and talked about their future and I can’t imagine a more beautiful way to do it.
Jenna & Alex,
I will never be able to thank you enough for not only letting me into the family farm but for letting me into your love story. There are deep roots at the farm, just like there are in these photos, just like there are between the two of you. I hope every one of these images serves as a reminder of the love you have for each other. When you see the walnut tree where you got engaged or the oak tree you’ve been mesmerized by for years, when you’re picking up rocks in the field, helping Buddy onto the gator, mowing down the paths in the woods, and playing with the puppies by the pond, I hope you are forever reminded of the marriage you’re building. I am beyond grateful and forever cheering you on!
