Lily has an excitement to her that I can’t quite describe. I think it has to do with the way she lights up when talking about her future. I remember that feeling, less than a week out from graduation…less than a week out from the rest of your life. Being a Shelby Alum, I know that feeling all too well. The feeling that you’ve never been more ready. But when you’re standing side by side with your classmates, friends, and teachers, reality sets in. You’re filled with pride and then disbelief that it’s all over, and a whole new story is about to unfold as you take on whatever comes next.

Thank you for adventuring with me throughout your senior year. I’ve had so much fun getting to know you and capturing your joy as you prepare for your future. Your laugh is truly contagious and I know that Bowling Green is going to be so lucky to have you there in the fall. I’m always cheering you on! Congratulations to Lily & the class of 2024!
