I asked Parker if he had ever ridden a horse before and his answer was yes, but that he didn’t really love it. Which made me laugh because we were standing in Morgan’s family’s backyard, taking pictures with her horses, and he couldn’t have looked more happy to be there. I think that is such a beautiful foundation for their future marriage. Watching Morgan be so passionate about something that has been such a big part of her life made him love it too, simply because he loves her.
I was completely in love with this family farm. Maybe mostly because of the most stunning view of the sunset that Morgan’s family gets to have all to themselves. But the real reason this place is so special is because this farm is her family, her childhood, her horses, and the people she loves.
Morgan and Parker,
I loved getting to see this little piece of your story. Getting to photograph you in a place that means so much to Morgan, with her horses, on her family’s land, and with that gorgeous sunset right in the backyard, felt like getting to see a little glimpse of the life you’re building together. I hope you always keep finding ways to step into each other’s worlds, to care about the things that make the other person light up, and to make a home that feels a little bit like this place did that night: completely at peace.
I know I’m already counting down the days until your I do’s in June, but I hope these images forever serve as a reminder of this sweet, fleeting engagement season you’re experiencing together. I’ll forever be cheering you two on!
