His hand shook as he held the microphone. He took a deep breath and looked at his oldest daughter. She was looking into the eyes of her new husband. Completely and utterly swept up in the moment and enjoying the fact that they are now one. He raised the microphone to his trembling lips and begin to speak to the love he’s witnessed between the two. You could feel the weight of the moment in the silence that followed—how much it meant for him to speak these words, to give his daughter away, to welcome Kaid into their family. Through teary eyes and a shaky voice, he talked about the legacy of love they both come from. He listed out the names of each grandparent and parent, honoring the decades of marriage that had come before this day. It wasn’t just a toast—it was a passing of the torch.

That’s the kind of love that builds a marriage. The love from a parent, grandparent, or sibling. The love that stops you in your tracks and tells you that you matter so deeply to them. Macy and Kaid both come from love like that. And it was so apparent through all the little moments of their wedding day. That future officially began here, at Secluded Cabins Event Center, surrounded by rolling hills, sunshine, and generations of love cheering them on.
