From the moment Kierstyn Bays stepped in front of my camera, I knew this was going to be a special session. She has the kind of gentle presence that instantly puts you at ease—graceful and kind in every way. Kierstyn has just graduated from her dental hygiene program (go girl!!), and I had so much fun soaking in every moment of this well-earned celebration with her.

One of the first things I noticed about her was how naturally she lights up when she talks about the people she loves. She couldn’t help but tell me all about her mom and two sisters, and it was obvious how much they mean to her. You could feel how excited she was to be making her family proud, and that made this session so much more than just photos in a cap and gown. It felt like a tribute to all the love, strength, and support that got her to this point.

One thing that truly stuck with me was how quick she was to ask about me. That simple kindness says everything you need to know about her heart. She’s the kind of person who makes you feel seen, even when the spotlight is on her—and I know that will serve her beautifully in her future, where her patients will be lucky to have someone so thoughtful and caring.
