His hand shook as he looked up at his bride. He was anxious to hold her hands. As she walked towards him two things caught his eye. The first, their daughters giggly eyes as she sat in the first row right in between them. Looking at Lily, reminded him of all the things he loves about her that came directly from Jena. Her curiosity, her laugh, and her bravery. The second thing that caught his eye was Jena’s dad and the way he was holding his breath while holding Jena’s hand as tightly as he could. In that moment he knew he had so much gratitude in his heart for the future that was becoming a reality.
Gratitude is something that can not be fabricated. It’s something that is felt not said, and Jena & Ryan’s wedding day was full of it. I knew they had so joy and thankfulness to give the moment I got to capture their engagement session. I’m so grateful to have been a part of a wedding that solidified the joy between two people that among all other things, have put each other first.
Jena & Ryan,
You are the true representation of what it really means to love someone. You’re raising sweet Lily with such a joyful heart. Watching your heart grow for each other and your family is so warming to me. I will always admire the way you act as each other’s rock, grounding each other among the chaos. I hope these images remind you of the promises you have made each other and the love you have created. I will forever be cheering you on.
