His hand was shaking. He was trying to hide the fact that he was nervous, but the excitement on his face told everyone in the room. As his little girl came through the front door, all of the butterflies in his stomach melted away. Jarod, with a giant smile on his face, leaned down and gave his daughter the softest kiss on the forehead. Cora looked back up at him with a sweet smile, just like her mom.

At the very same moment Ashley’s giggles of excitement were heard all the way from the bridal suite. Just minutes before she was listening to Taylor Swift surrounded by the girls that built her and helped her foster the love she has for Jarod, Cooper, and Cora. But now, she was fastening the last clip on her shoe and walking out to her ceremony. With the biggest smile on her face she took a deep breath remembering all of the memories she and Jarod had shared and walked outside to her forever.

As I was leaving I gave Ashley the biggest hug screaming, “Congratulations!!” and she whispered back to me, “I’m so glad you were my photographer.” I held onto those words the rest of the night. A title I am so proud to wear, a day I’m so lucky to have be apart of, and a marriage I’m so blessed to have witness.
